How do I REALISTICALLY tell my boss to mind his own business?

ETA: How do I tell him this, IF HE ASKS AT WORK. I'm not planning on responding to his text. I'm still agency, but I make every shift. I've also been dealing with a coworker who waits til management is gone, and starts yelling at me and insulting me in front of a lobby full of customers. I started recording her, sent the recordings to the agency and the GM, and no one's done a damn thing. And the other day, I had 2 people who were supposed to relieve me, and neither came in until more than 2 hours after their shift was meant to start. This is the kind of environment I work in.

And I AM looking for something else. I had started thinking about staying, because for whatever strange reason I like customer service, when it's merged with some admin. I actually love it. I always have.

The other night after I got home from a 10 hour shift, something came up and I had to tell my GM I wouldn't be able to come in today. This afternoon, I found I'd gotten a text from him saying, “Oh ok. Why do you have to call off?” I responded “Personal reasons.” He then asked, “What kind of personal reason?”

I had to take off for a very private matter, which I don't really feel safe so much as hinting in its general direction.

It's none of his damn business. I already told him I needed more hours because of some sudden expenses, so it's not like I called off almost 24 hours before, lightly. (Would have been an entirely different shift, so really was almost a full day).

In the event he asks me at work, does anyone know how to tell this yutz who won't even manage abusive employees, to just mind his fucking business and that he'll get no justification or explanation from me- without losing my job?
