Fired for raising safety concerns

My mom worked for a prestigious hospital system in the Midwest. She has been a practicing pharmacist since the 80’s. Her supervisor told her after getting a new position in 2017, “You’re so good, I just regret not hiring you sooner.” Over time, they hired people who caused problems and didn’t get the work done. It got so bad, my mom began filing safety complaints, as problems with the IV’s they handle had safety issues. They told her to stop complaining about it, because they can’t find people for the job and told her “she was replaceable”. This is a woman who has been licensed and practicing since the 80’s. She raised safety concerns, was a quality employee, and they want to fire her because she wanted a safe product for patients. Another example of why people don’t want to work.
