Chauffeur context I have been working at an at home call center since March of 2022 and it has been absolutely horrible
Recently they have told us that during our calls if we don't try to make at least one sales pitch on trying to make the customers Bill even $5 more than we are going to be written up and then eventually suspended and then eventually let go
To put that kind of pressure on someone who only works in billing and not sales is absolutely ridiculous
I work for a customer service at a large cable company in Canada
We are losing customers left right and center to the competition every single day because our company will not price match
So their resolution is to try to get people in billing to do sales pictures to try to get customers to pay more for crap service
I went and found a job outside of the house that I'm so excited for that's also in sales but they have no pressure on making sales because the store doesn't solely rely on sales for income
I start there this Monday so Friday is going to be my last day at my current job and I can't wait to tell them all the awful things that they have done in the last 8 months and the reasons why I'm leaving and the reasons why they're going to keep suffering because they don't put the customer first and they're so greedy
Last week they literally told me that if someone older calls in that they're the best kind of people to confuse into spending more money who even does that cold hearted business people that have no business running a company
Anyways just wanted to say thank you to the people on this subreddit cuz if it wasn't for you guys I don't think that I would be leaving
