My employer made me stop working for what is now become 6 weeks. They said they were concerned for my health after I had a knee injury and then an unrelated er visit. I was told to file for short term disability but my dr never said to take leave. They then told me to talk to hr who demanded a doctors note to return to work. I got one with accommodations and they refused to give me the accommodations requested even though they were the same accommodations my employer had already offered prior to forcing me to stop working. My leave was finally approved for the first four weeks but it doesn’t continue and I was told to have my dr write alternative accommodations by today or I would be let go. I work in accounting and the accommodation was to be able to work from home.
