RANT: I do not want to go back to a bullshit job

I worked an office job for almost a decade. I was miserable and contemplated suicide more than once. Despite consistently failing upwards I did not see purpose in the work. The money was reasonable. Last year I spotted a job with a local charity and took a leap. It was a paycut and a 1 year contract. I have never felt better in my life, a fact remarked upon by my family and friends. The money for the post has run out. Now I must go back to the well of miserable office jobs. I don't want to use my “excellent interpersonal skills to influence senior executives”. I don't want to “effectively communicate reports and BI analysis”. I don't want to “increase growth and productivity”. I just want to do a job that has tangible, realistic outcomes. I don't even want to get paid any more than I am. I…
