Okay, so I have a cold my roommate gave me. I was in the early stages yesterday, where I could still work. I wanted to try and come in yesterday because I knew I would be sicker today and tomorrow, but on a paper that he gives us it says to “stay home if we are sick”. I tried to explain it to him, but he said that it didn’t make sense that I would be sick today, but then also want tomorrow and Friday off because I might be sick? I tried to explain how getting a fucking cold works, like how you catch it and it gets worse and then you get better. He didn’t understand, and instead of trying to listen to me and understand, he just told me to go home.
I’m home again today because I am sicker than I was yesterday. I texted him “I’m sick worse today. Severe cough among other things. I think it would be best if I stayed home today.” No response, which I think is super unprofessional. My anxiety over it is going crazy. I don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow. I don’t know if he wants me in or not. I’m scared of going and being yelled at for coming, and I’m also scared of calling out and not getting a response and him being mad. I don’t know what to do.
