I don't have many people to tell this to, but I figured y'all would appreciate it.
I went on My first job interview in 4 years and landed a job that the company pays 100% of benefits, and adds 3% to 401k and pays almost $2k take-home monthly more than the job I have now. I start in two weeks from Monday.
To put this in to perspective, the last time I asked My employer for a raise, he added $50 a month to My check. I've been there for two years and one month, to put things in to perspective.
It's not a huge win by most people's standards, but it is a small win for Me. I actually did something for Myself for once. And it feels amazing to have someone finally recognize My experience and My worth to My industry.
