I’m new to my industry having wasted my 20s in the auto industry.
I wrote a document but was instructed to hand it off about a month ago for final edits to someone else.
the boss told me to send out the document, I did it as instructed, I didn’t check it again because.. why would i, it was checked by both my boss and my bosses boss but the client was mad due to the quality of the work..so obviously the boss throws me under the bus blaming me in an email to the client not realising the issue is due to a compatibility issue with Word as the client is using an old version and there are sometimes issues with things like markup and comments…
I realised what the problem was the next day. I Didn’t say anything, applied to their largest rival and just got the email that I got the job for a 15k increase.
