My employer is mad at me right now for refusing an assignment that would have cost me money in time and gas. They snapped, “Thanks for being a team player”. Well thank for you not considering at all that to take the assignment would have cost ME, that I'd lose more than I'd gain.
It's all well and good for them, they'd benefit but I sure wouldn't. I'm sick of this crap, it isn't the first time something like this has happened and I was expected to “be a team player”. It's been a good run but I think it's time to find another job as this nonsense has been increasing of late, you know, since so many people have quit that there aren't enough of us left to cover everything properly.
