My ENT gave me a nose spray to try to curb my snoring so I downloaded an app to track any progress. I tested the app for a few nights without the nose spray and discovered my snoring was actually almost entirely gone! This is amazing because last time I tested it, I was snoring like a freight train all night.
At first I thought it must be because I've lost some weight recently, though I was in pretty decent shape even at my heaviest.
Turns out it was actually because I was in the middle of some extended PTO. I started back to work today and when I checked my snoring results from last night, the chart was completely different. There was snoring almost the whole night. (Though, to be fair, some of it was my cat…)
It was work. The stress from work was the real source of my snoring the whole time. It makes perfect sense now why I felt so much more rested when I was on PTO despite getting significantly less sleep.
Guess I can look forward to consistency sleeping like garbage for the next 20+ years…
