Companies giving people weird job names on purpose…

So the company that I work for gave new job titles to an entire division. They are the Product Owners/Managers and they are now to “Global Offering Experience Manager/Specialist” but they are still basically teams of 2-3 team Product Managers each managed by a Senior/Lead/Head Product Manager. Is this a genuine attempt to stand out and look cool or is it a malicious attempt to make it difficult for people to job search as recruiters hiring for those roles will not be familiar with the terminology? They don't fuck with the titles of client/vendor facing roles. Supply, Sales and Maintenance roles have titles as per the industry standard but if it's not a client facing role, they do freaky things with it. The graphics guys are called “Digital Experience”. R&D is called “Techology Experience” and HR is called “Employee Experience Coordinator/Manager”
