I work part time at the door of a friend's bar(owner not manager).
And I had the strangest review mentoin me by name yesterday. Apparently someone thought I accepted a “cash bribe” by letting someone in “without ID”, accompanying the review is a snapped photo of me simply talking to someone at the door. Of course no such thing happened. The very few(if any) non-ID holders just get rejected. Whoever it was probably just saw me shake the hand of a regular and assumed he must have “handed a $20”.
Manager of course angrily texted me and just accepted this baseless review as fact, because a customer's say = fact. To which I responded he can watch the several hours(8 or so hrs) of surveillance footage to see that no such thing happened. I tried to dispute it with Google, seriously, f*ck Google so hard. They basically said I have to falsify the accusation. Doesn't that imply that some poor Google Maps employee has to sit through hours of footage of door entries? Of course they won't do that.
Will they say who it is? No. Nothing. This whole review process just needs to be renewed.
So many unreasonable if not crazy people out there who's nonesense shouldn't be up there with what others have to say.
