just quit my part time job after 3.5 years.

I've worked for a certain large chain hardware retailer for a good portion of my 20s. Both fulltime and part time. I could operate every machine in the store, all the equipment (saws, cutters etc), held an occupational first aid level 3 that I paid for and offered first aid service at no extra charge for them (including staying late), worked in half the departments, always took overtime and extra hours while I'm in school and working a second job. And after a long long period of “quiet quitting” (realizing how ungrateful the company is and deciding to do what I want) I just walked out today. Never ever going back. The main thing I took issue with was my wage, I was getting 17.50 where as new hires where getting 18.50. Getting paid more than me while I TRAINED THEM. they refused to raise my wage… fine then no…

I feel bad because I've left my coworkers hanging. But at the same time it's unfair for me to be in this position anyway. So too bad, EAT SHIT UPPER MANAGEMENT.

Good luck everyone
