I just had an interview for an in-house mechanic position with a landscaping company and it did not go very well. Keep this in mind, I've been going to school for this kind of work for the past year.
1) Didn't shake my hand and just told me to sit down.
2) Kept referring that I was “quite young” and didn't want to spend a lot of time teaching me the trade
3) Said my ask for $17/hr was quite high for “a beginner”
4) Was mostly dismissive of the fact I've been actively learning a trade for the job that they posted and kept doubting my ability and knowledge
If I get a call from them, I'll have to refuse
