Has anyone taken a year break from work?

I have been working since I was 18 (I am now 23) throughout university. I just graduated 6 months ago and working full time in healthcare. Feeling like I should live my life and achieve my life goals when I am young than later when I retire. I have saved up $55k over the years, I am also an artist as a side hustle. Planning on travelling for a year before coming back to work but this would mean I only work for 1 year after I have graduated. What are your thoughts? It would probably set me back career wise but would this be a good idea? Has anyone taken a year gap from working or should I wait until I have worked longer with my current employer?
