To give some context, I work at a multinational company doing advertising for a VERY big client, my area focuses on a specific product of this client and works with social media.
I'm a Mid. Designer that constantly aims to improve my work, the process of the team and to have a good time while working and delivering everything on date and with pixel perfect detail.
Yesterday we had a global team meeting where we were told that we already exceeded the target revenue for the year and that they know we are understaffed (lol). That felt like a spit to the face. That and some other stuff thats way too long for a post.
I've been talking with my boss (we have a good relationship and I trust him) for several months about the lack of career plans or oportunity for growth, I've even went beyond and stated that I wanted objectives and feedback even if achieving those goals wouldnt give me a promotion, I just don't like working without goals beside the BAU. I got told that he “was gonna work on that”. For additional context, I've been struggling with mental health and had to do extra effort every day, besides working on a toxic environment (again, not from my boss).
Today we got the greaaat news that two of my coworkers got promoted to Sr and I went blind with rage.
How come I don't even have a career plan, feedback or ANY GOALS to look forward and theres no budget for a promotion even though we surpassed revenue goals before ending Q3?
Even so, those coworkers had the same position as me and the same señority.
I just feel like
A) not putting anymore effort in this company
B) quit without notice and tell everyone to fuck themselves
Speaking with my boss is not something I would do since he's a master of excuses and bs.
What would you do?
