I work in at a law office, it’s a big company but our office is small, only about 20 employees. Since we’re such a small office, the rules are pretty lenient and people goof off probably more than they would if HR was actually in the office.
That being said, there’s one girl, who I’ll refer to as M, who is always being picked on for “wasting company time”. And she’s not even being picked on by the lawyers, it’s the other paralegals that are doing it. Does anyone have any tips for M on what to say as a comeback when people who have literally no authority over her are picking on her for “wasting company time”? Like something smart about how company time is bullshit anyway. I’m not well versed enough to help her form an argument with this.
