Question re: employee appreciation

Hi folks, I know well that the best way to show appreciation is monetarily. Raises come at the end of the year at my company and tend to be fairly generous. My question for you all comes as a mid-manager who is not in the position to offer money outside of giving my input into the raise evaluation. What other employee appreciation/morale boosting actions do people appreciate in the time between raises?
