my boss is stuck in the stone age

I just can't even with my boss. He doesn't seem to understand or embrace technology….but he thinks he knows it all. I am stuck working on 1 computer monitor and having to swap back and forth between 5-6 programs pretty frequently. He also makes us write everything on paper (even though I'm starting to type because my arm/wrist is starting to hurt and I'm worried about carpal tunnel syndrome). Today I finally asked about having 2 monitors and was told “we've tried 2 monitors before and it just slows people down.” And he tried to explain some vague way by saying how it takes more time to go back and forth from 2 screens than having everything on one screen. And he said that 2 monitors would be pointless because I will still have to be minimizing programs because am using more than 3. Yes, it's 2022 and I'm having…

Yes, it's 2022 and I'm having to use 2 or more programs on one monitor but making my windows smaller.

Basically the process is that I am reading a PDF, printing email to make a “cover sheet” and then I write that information on a paper, then we give that paper to someone else to type up a document with the information I've written and email that document back to the company that requested it. Then the original paper that I've written on is filed away for a year, then it's taken back out and we make an X on the side we've written on reuse the blank side of the paper for new cases. This process doesn't really make sense to me.

whenever I try to ask questions my boss is dismissive, he thinks he already knows everything and has the perfect process worked out. It's absolutely ridiculous. I just can't reason with this guy. It's a small company and all my coworkers are complacent, they don't question anything and I guess they don't care that this process is really stupid.
