I work customer service, part of it is taking payments over the phone. This lady always tells me the same thing every time she calls, I mean I got her name memorized already. When taking a payment, I gotta write down the card info temporarily on the PC pad, then copy each line to populate the fields in the insurance company portal, input their address and name manually as well, process that, then copy each line again and paste it on the service fee processing site and process that. It takes around 90 fucking seconds. It's not that long and I'm doing it as fast as I can. I understand client's probably on her break at work, I value clients' time but omg I only have two hands.
I hate the lack of empathy in customer service, we are humans too, we're trying our best to help. It's such an underpaid job too.
