Street maintenance worker here, working 35 hours @ 15$ an hour. Payday was 3 days ago and i already spent a third of my ~130$ monthly food & gas budget. This got me a quarter of a tank for my car, and 5 days worth of potatoes, fruit and bread. Rent and medical bills consume whats left.
