Team building with a team that doesn’t like me?

Ok so this might be a long post but I need to rant a bit. So I was hired for a position that isn’t anything like I’m doing now. I’m a graphic designer. My focus is in more digital design but I’ve been doing print for the last 4 years here because I was originally told I would be switched over to digital when the team gets sorted and reorganized. We’ve gone through 3 re-orgs and my job is still print. My manager doesn’t like me. I’m direct and I document EVERYTHING. She’s tried to frame me on so many things and I’ve either had proof or I’ve called her out on it. I document my every move like a lawyer because I don’t trust her. She plays favorites and doesn’t know how to manage people. We all used to be friends but they started playing favorites when we went…

We all used to be friends but they started playing favorites when we went remote and then two people were promoted to managing the people on the team and they ostracized me.

Recently, I was invited by a new coworker (two companies merged and they merged the communications teams) to help out with a live stream and manage one of the cameras since he didn’t know I knew how to do video work. He was surprised to hear I knew how to do web, animation, and anything camera related. When I got to the live stream, the other girl on my team who manages the digital team told me I wasn’t needed. I stuck around anyway and eventually I was given something to do because they needed extra hands.

With the new merger of these companies, the managers planned a team building activity. My director said she was excited and I gave her an idea for the activity. Then my manager rescheduled it for a day that I’m on PTO. I told my director that I couldn’t make it because I am away on vacation and she told me that my manager told her that she picked a day where everyone was available. This director doesn’t pick favorites at all and she’s aware of how my manager and team have treated me. She’s trying to fix the situation. But honestly, why the hell would I want to attend a team building activity with a team that doesn’t even like me?
