America is a dump with mansions on a hill.

America is a resource that caters to those with money. We don't manufacture or produce anything here anymore, which is done overseas. All those once good union jobs given away by politicians, replaced by low wage service jobs and strip malls with Chipotles, Starbucks, and Whole Foods, selling you at 15/hr which was the ask 10 years ago, and sold to you now as a progressive idea by the rich elites and propagated by the professional managerial class. Think about all these people who aren't in management who can put something in a 401k. Those will mean nothing as goods and services skyrocket, give it 30 years. People won't be able to retire but will be able to afford a coffin to be put in and the ground to be buried in. That's what a 401k will cover. Your death, burial, and funeral paid for by you with employer contributions.…

America is the brochure with the smiling family, but sells you based on platitudes and posturing. In America, before my time, older millennial. In America there used to be good paying union and manufacturing jobs. Could work a single job and have a decent standard of living. I go to a job interview and when I interview with managers I see how propagandized they are to believe that “culture” mean anything, some thing like a scifi movie. They themselves believe they will be able to retire. Having 100- 200k in a bank account means nothing if you outlive your money, and have to go work as a greeter at Walmart part time, but everyone doesn't look forward to tomorrow but only today. Being propagandized at an early age that if you work hard you move up. While moving up the corporate ladder, inflation and cost of living still doesn't stop. When asked at an interview where you do you see your self in 5 years or what is your outcome of working here is, they want you to be committed to the company, and not realize that a company doesn't care about their workers not event management or HR, but expects loyalty, but those pedaling the commitment narrative themselves are short sighted as they are not looking forward but here and now. In 30 years what does any sort of retirement look like? What does the labor force look like. Is it going to resemble a third world country with wealthy enclaves and dilapidated housing or huts? What do you think things will look like in 30 years time? As our politicians are a parody, disconnected from reality, the elite pushing further austerity and censorship, to maintain control. What does the future look like 30, 50 years from now?
