Name and shame: wellspan

Throw away account for obvious reasons Wellspan is changing its PRN nurse pay rates and is trying to bullshit its staff that they will make as much, when it's actually a rather significant drop in pay. Before the change, the pay rate was 44/hr for the first 24 hours/6 weeks then that + incentive ($15-25/hr lately). The new pay rates have 3 categories, and PRN is not eligeable for incentive pay: 1: 40/hr with 24 hours required per 6 weeks (loss of $96 if I work just those 24) 2: 44/hr with 36 hours required per 6 weeks, 12 of which must be on a weekend (no weekend diff) (even using the lowest incentive that's a loss of $180) 3: 48/hr with 48 hours required per 6 weeks, 24 of which must be on a weekend (loss of $168) I wouldn't care, except for the bullshit in the memo that…

Throw away account for obvious reasons

Wellspan is changing its PRN nurse pay rates and is trying to bullshit its staff that they will make as much, when it's actually a rather significant drop in pay.

Before the change, the pay rate was 44/hr for the first 24 hours/6 weeks then that + incentive ($15-25/hr lately).

The new pay rates have 3 categories, and PRN is not eligeable for incentive pay:

1: 40/hr with 24 hours required per 6 weeks (loss of $96 if I work just those 24)

2: 44/hr with 36 hours required per 6 weeks, 12 of which must be on a weekend (no weekend diff) (even using the lowest incentive that's a loss of $180)

3: 48/hr with 48 hours required per 6 weeks, 24 of which must be on a weekend (loss of $168)

I wouldn't care, except for the bullshit in the memo that claims we are getting incentive paid by keeping our pay rate or going up by 4/hr (at a loss of 15+/hr in exchange).

And all this at a time where the hospital is half travelers and they had to close a floor due to staffing.

I'm walking, most other PRN staff I know is walking as well, hope it costs them another unit.
