Promotion with a 4% raise

Well it’s not a typical promotion. I’ve been with this company for 3 months. My department has undergone a restructuring which means that I’m now automatically promoted into a people manager role with 3 direct reports. I’m also going to be managing 2 products instead of 1. While I was surprised by this change to role and a little nervous (I’m taking on a LOT more work) I was excited for the pay rise. I was expecting ~10-15%. I talked to my manager today and they’ve offered me a 4% raise which gives me around 100 more a month. Barely anything. I’m not happy with this and think such a small increase is not fair given the huge increase in my responsibilities. Plus I’ve never wanted to manage people and have accepted I won’t be able to progress past a certain level because of this. I’m tempted to say no…

I’m tempted to say no to the promotion but they would likely just fire me? If I try to negotiate I don’t think I’ll get far as I’m new
