Can we start a GoFundMe (OR SOMETHING) to support workers who decided to stop working for (or lost their jobs from) the railroad companies due to poor working conditions, until working conditions improve?

GoFundMe (or similar) is one of the things I've always seen as a way for a collective to show support. Can we use something like this to show that a majority of Americans want railroad workers to have a few days of sick leave, that we support them, and that the companies, and government, fucked around and are about to find out? I have never implemented something like this myself, and don't know how, but based on the overwhelming support for just a few days of sick leave, I feel this could gain traction. Maybe this is stupid to ask, but I would just like to see support for hard working people who need to take a day for illness.
