Look at all the Russian money that pays politicians around the world. Look at how the countries that are simultaneously condemning the Russian people are still buying oil from Russia. Sure, a few oligarchs may have had their yachts “taken away,” but it seems like they’re STILL making money while so many ordinary Russians lose everything. They can’t even find Putin’s assets, which means these sanctions don’t even touch the one person it really should be decimating. Countries are selling their military equipments to each other, which means politicians around the world are getting delicious kickbacks from these sales. War or peace, it barely affects them in any negative way. They thrive either way. And the majority of us sit in this mire of misery and shit they created for us, and we lash out and fling shit at each other instead of seeing the root of all our problems. The corporate oligarchy we think we are trapped in is an illusion. We’re the ones who actually work the machines, teach the knowledge, research the data, layout the logistics, make the sales, innovate the ideas, and build every system that keeps a modern society functioning. Why can’t everyone see that if we reject the system the wealthy forced on us, they become just a few powerless human beings? The rich and the police are only a few compared to the rest of us. I think the Ukrainian people and everyone around the world helping the Ukrainian people are amazingly brave and admirable human beings, and I think it’s a damn disgusting shame that too many of these amazing lives have been and will be cut short for the profit of a very few. They continue to rape our planet and knowingly and aggressively continue to wipe out our habitat while they all figure out a way to live in outer space somewhere. Can we at least promise each other to fuck with their rockets so they’ll have to stay and burn/drown to death on earth with us?
