I want my children’s generation to have things better than I did.

I am 54f, have children and nieces etc in their 20s and 30s. I was so proud of “young vote “ at midterms. Why does anyone go through getting a higher education, learn new ideas etc and then settle for 80 year old politicians with 80 year old brains making decisions that affect us all. Why don’t we want the best and the brightest? Everything has changed since I graduated high school in 1986. A 74 yr old politician graduated in 1966. It doesn’t make sense. I have worked for 40 years. For the first time in my life, I have a job with benefits. I can pay my bills and save. I wouldn’t wish my work history on my worst enemy let alone people I love. We need change and new ideas, not hypocritical old out of touch, rich assholes. We need to be proud of our kids and…

I have worked for 40 years. For the first time in my life, I have a job with benefits. I can pay my bills and save. I wouldn’t wish my work history on my worst enemy let alone people I love.

We need change and new ideas, not hypocritical old out of touch, rich assholes.

We need to be proud of our kids and give them the confidence to make change. Anyone who wants the US to remain the same is corrupt. Most are suffering, struggling and a bunch of old politicians are so out of touch they need help with their IPhones. They voted against sick leave. They are out of touch.

My generation sat back and listened to the old ones and did nothing. See where that got us. My hope is that those younger will fix this mess. It’s our fault, not theirs and they need and deserve our support.

It’s time to believe in your kids. If you don’t, you failed as a parent, again your fault not theirs. It’s their turn, we need them.
