Hello! I haven't done this kind of thing before and I just need some input for this.
A while ago, my boyfriends general manager left the company leaving my boyfriend in charge of the store with no additional pay raise but to essentially do the work with no support or help, as he is the assistant general manager.
He recently worked a 70 hour work week and hasn't had a day off for 3 weeks since said general manager left, and he has expressed the interest is talking to the area manager about a demotion. However, I feel there may be some way to get him compensated for the bs that these higher ups who have practically no idea what's going on within the store and who only see people as numbers.
If more information is needed about work place or state: minnesota Noodles and company (that's about as comfortable as I feel sharing work and place)
I do also work at this store with my boyfriend but have made clear boundaries and I only work there to give support and help where I can if possible (though I've definitely looked into other places for work as this is temporary)
