I can see my breath in my own house and I want to rant about it.

I am wrapped in layers, gloves on and a blanket. I am shivering in my house because I am on “real living wage” in a two income household with no dependants and I can't afford to heat my home. Since when did being warm become a special treat? when my parents were in this same position they could afford a large home, multiple holidays a year and most importantly could save for the future.
