Is it wrong of me to ask for an alternating 40 hours one week and 30 hours the next? They automatically have put me on straight 40 hours per week, 10 hour shifts. The job was appealing because it was 30-40 hours which means I can get the full time benefits with 30 hours a week. I am in school full time and the 4 days off every other week would be very beneficial.
It seems I'm being made to feel bad for doing this, even though it's in the contract. Opinions? I mean “feel bad” as in they seem like they expect me to work 40 hours each week with no say in what I want.
