I was just thinking about terrorism and how the evil assholes of the US get away with sabotaging shit (the recent shooting of a power station in response to non gender conforming people being pretty and fabulous while near kids), entrapment and fraud (like when right wingers tried to get abortion providers to admit to selling fetuses, on tape), and straight up coups. And all the while, good hearted and peaceful humanists (most of the USA is not right wing) just make calls to our congresspeople to create bills (that only end up gutted, with most not even getting passed), hold signs while marching, and boycotting.
Why don't we get edgy? Why don't we do something real? Im not saying be violent, but why not fuck with the rich? Apply for jobs at unethical places (Amazon, Wal-Mart,Twitter, or any number of disgusting organizations) and waste resources by lying about qualifications to make it as far along as possible. Kind of like those ppl who fuck with scam call centers.
If you actually get hired, just don't need to show up if you can't or don't wanna. Drag it out. Say you're sick. If you can and wish to show up, because you have the resources (time, transport, energy, etc), you can try to organize a union, help your humans by “not noticing” theft, drag your feet when completing tasks, “forget” your task list/duties, document and ask about ADA and OSHA stories from coworkers, basically, cause some headaches.
Imagine if we all did what we could in this way. It is like striking, but much less risk to yourself as you aren't using the job or process for money. Plus, you can stop at any point and be wasting the businesses time and money (and fucking with metrics). Heck, even sending in a shit ton of resumes with keywords that ping would create problems for them. I am unsure if you can still put keywords in white font to hide them from humans but still visible to the sorting computer. (Yes. A computer creates the initial hiring pool.)
The right wing always accuse those wanting equity as being as bad as they are. Imagine if we used some of their very legal, very cool tactics to create change? What do you all think? How feasible is this?
P.s. Imagine the panic among the rich when they dont know if the new hire is going to show up for the holiday rush/fiscal year end rush or not. Imagine the craziness if half of the Holiday Wal-Mart relief staff didn't show up. It would be like a strike. Imagine the cost of human resources to respond to the issue of not knowing legitimate applicants from those scamps wanting equality. If the rich are so scared of people working from home, even though it makes them more money, that they'd cut off their nose to spite their faces… This would scare them too, and wouldnt that be a fun?
