I'm looking for some help or advice on the reality of what my options are here. I caught the flu last week followed by sinusitus and was out of work for 5 days. (Returned on Monday) Each day I was out, I left a voicemail to keep them updated. I heard nothing back and figured I was fine.
Well, tonight, management had my supervisor inform me that I will be fired if I call out again regardless of a doctors note.
Sidenote: I'm only 2 months in, and I work in California.
