As a cashier, I've been working overtime for over a week now and I'm exhausted. I asked my manager if I could take a few days off to rest and recharge, but they denied my request. Apparently, they don't want to give me any time off because I refused to work overtime even more.
I'm really frustrated and disappointed by this. I also need to take care of myself and make sure that I'm not burning out. I don't think it's fair that I'm being punished for not being willing to work myself to the bone.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I'm just looking for some advice on how to handle this situation. I don't want to get fired though, my parents would be really mad at me too. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
