So I was laid off the Monday before Thanksgiving. To this date (12/8), I've yet to receive my last paycheck. I sent a text to the person who contacted me about the layoff calling him a liar for saying my paycheck was in the mail (it was not). He proceeded to threaten me with physical violence via text message, which immediately made it's way to the local PD. The last contact I had with an officer was for him to ask me if I was pressing charges to which I replied yes.

Today, the secretary for the company has tried to say that I was threatening and harassing the company (for stating that I had filed a claim against the business). She asked me for a case number, which I provided, and for documented proof that I even submitted my hours in the first place, which I did.

Her response was basically that it was “now a legal matter and any further communications would be considered harassment”. Fine, no further communications, but it's been a legal matter, bitch. Suck it.
