Not sure if this belongs here! (If not here could someone suggest another sub?)
We had our Christmas do yesterday and by Christmas do, it was an open bar where a lot of colleagues came – some that I’ve never met in person and only heard of. Anyway, it’s time to go home now and 1 colleague (that I’ve never met before) says that we can split a cab as she lives near me. I ordered the Uber.. it was £50.
Anyway she didn’t leave me her details/any money etc. I dropped her a message on teams the next day saying “hi! It was great to meet you yesterday, hope you got home safe?” In an attempt to slide in the cab money request. But she didn’t open the message and still hasn’t.
Any advice on how to ask without coming across weird? £50 is a LOT of money for me..
