Has anyone ever been emailed a write up?

Hi! I’m just curious about what people think about handling a situation. I’ve been written up at work, but I’m confused about how to respond because of how I received it. The write up is justified – I was sick last week and called in later than I should have. I received the write up on a day that I called in and to my personal email address. I’ve been written up at work, but I’m confused about how to respond because of how I received it. The write up is justified – I was sick last week and called in later than I should have. I received the write up on a day that I called in and to my personal email address. I’m pretty strict with my boundaries, won’t do work related things in my time off and was upset by reading this in my time off so I haven’t responded to the email. I should also mention that I do labor and email isn’t something I use in my day to day. The manager that wrote me up is someone I don’t see regularly. Maybe a 2-3x/month. I won’t have time during my work day to address it… I’m tempted to just leave it alone? Is that inappropriate? Does it need a response? Or just suck it up and write back??
