As in the position, not all of the egomaniacs who occupy them. I have worked nothing but these positions for seven years now and it has been sucking out my soul. Everywhere I’ve gone, it’s like the boss above me always wants me to be a kissass Uncle Tom type. I always have to find away to deal with the stress of having managers push performance while remembering my humanity and attempting to treat those that work with me well. At the same time, I’m never treated well.
But for someone with no other skills, management is about all I can do for a decent living. What’s your take?
