I woke up to a text this morning from my manager saying that everyone called in tonight, so i’ll be soloing the restaurant. I work in a casual/fast paced restaurant that mostly focuses on to-go orders but we do sit down dining as well. Think Mcdonald’s but if they had waitresses.
We also average about $800 an hour. Closer to $1k on Tuesdays and Wednesday dinners (today!)
I said, yeah, no, considering our newest hire makes $16.50 and is shit at her job while i make $16 as AGM. This isn’t fair to me and i’ll either need help or i’m locking the doors to only do online/to go orders.
She said she would terminate me if I locked the doors tonight.
So i’ll be doing all the waitressing, registering, bagging, and cooking in a kitchen built for 5 people. Total i will be doing the jobs of 8 people. Alone. Lmao
