It’s not safe to be a teacher anymore

1) The risk of school shootings 2) Knowing that you’re likely being recorded at all times, especially in the upper grade levels where anyone can easily take a photo or video of you with their phone and share it with whomever. 3) The random stories and rumors made up by students that could get you investigated/fired/canceled 4) Number 3, but from the parents. 5) Admin or the biased school system not having your back when number 3 and/or 4 occur, thus unwilling to give you a chance to share your side. 6) If we share any bit of our personal life to make ourselves more relatable to the students, which is encouraged by admin, that could become misconstrued as having ulterior motives that you plan to be inappropriate with them. 7) If there’s a fight, you get in trouble for not breaking it up, but if you physically get involved…

7) If there’s a fight, you get in trouble for not breaking it up, but if you physically get involved for the safety of the students, you put yourself at equal risk of getting in trouble.

8) Any kind of reprimand could be deemed as verbal abuse/corporal punishment
