I’m genuinely curious. I work at FAANG and dozens of us stress the fuck out every EOM to get reporting done for our senior leadership. If the numbers look bad we have to be creative on why it was low.
These same people are always in town halls like “just come to me for help, we’re all a team”.
Yesterday at an All Hands one senior director encouraged us to get out of our comfort zone in our career and try something new.. as if having no relevant experience won’t disqualify you from getting a job.
They fly around the world shaking hands and having dinners but enforce RTO.
I feel like all they do is send a version of our bottom line reporting all the way up to the CEO. What tactical things do they do? Just approve budgets?
