This particular bank has made the decision, burried deep in an email and not an announcement, that they are choosing to treat COVID as any other sick day AND you are no longer required to disclose if you actively have COVID.
These choices may not seem like a huge deal on their own but if you consider that there is a 3 day per week in-office requirement, and IF you get COVID it will be deducted from your vacation time as sick leave, then you are effectively forced to enter a physical office environment to meet the in-office requirement if you no longer have sick days left to use. All while actively having COVID and you don’t even have to disclose it to anyone.
Have COVID? No sick days left? Too bad. Come into the office for the sake of team building.
I am beyond frustrated.
