So I got a verbal conditional offer through the phone stating they would like to offer me a position given that I pass all pre employment test (drug testing, police clearance etc.)
I gave a notice to my current employer soon as I hung up cause I knew that there wouldn't be any issues cause I know I'm clean and have no criminal records.
I was communicating with the hiring manager, and after awhile it went dead silent. I sent a follow up email, and got an automatic message saying the hiring manager went on vacation through the Christmas season all the way up til January.
I called the relief manager and they had no idea what was going on (no information about the hiring given).
What should I do in this case? Should I call the HR directly and say the hiring manager is on a vacation? They are the one who could book a pre employment drug test.
