Hello there, I'm new to this subreddit. However, I already know about the anti-work ideology thanks to fictional works like the Iain M. Banks's Culture series, Star Trek, Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising, etc.
Now with introductions taken care of, I have a question for you people. /u/Halasham and other people with a similar mindset say the only way to have a work-free, and better, future is to violently revolt against the 1% and anyone that supports them. However, there are solarpunks, like /u/EricHunting for example, say such a revolution is unlikely going to happen as our current unstainable system, combined with the effects Climate Change will bring when it reaches its peak, will cause the collapse of society and that we can use that oppturnity to rebuild society that's more sustainable.
So, which one do you think is going to happen first to build a better future: a global social revolution, rebuilding after a societal collapse, or both?
