It’s plain as day what was going on but they did write me up for a bunch of shit multiple times since then to cover their tracks so to speak. This is a family owned business but not small.
The VP left our direct manager in a position of power for 10 weeks after giving him information about unethical and possibly illegal activities. I work in the life and safety industry, fire protection specifically. So it’s a big deal if you don’t do your job right. VP “said he’s a terrible manager and can’t preform any of his duties any longer. Then not only left him as manager but allowed him to write me up for a lost tool. Then gave him a promotion out of middle management but my ex manager declined due to ego and left the company.
Since my coworker and I filed the formal complaint at the same time we have been harassed by coworkers through intimidation and financial blocking. I was cornered in a room with no cameras and told I was a snake, liar and POS, and that nobody in the company would ever trust me. Office lady speaks rudely to me and starting taking big commission jobs off me and started giving them to my apprentice leaving me with almost no work everyday which directly effects my paycheck. We’ve been scheduled for 2 hours of work and then expected to go home. Then get written up if you leave early.
They also don’t allow OT, and make you go home if you’ll include any OT. So they’ll charge a customer premium to get a job done at night let’s say, then not only do I have to work the odd hours but I never get time and 1/2. This I actually have in writing through an email.
I’m meeting with a lawyer and my ex coworker is meeting a different one also. So many more details but that’s the gist of it. What do you guys think?
