My credit score shot up 100 points recently as the two cards I didn't pay are off my score completely! I didn't realize that would happen!
One bank has closed my account but still sending letters – initial balance of $3,300, has since asked to settle for $1,600 and then a follow up letter asking to settle for $1,450.
The other bank has charged off my debt and one debt collection company is emailing and calling. I delete the emails without opening. I don't acknowledge the debt in any way.
I haven't yet been sued as I expected to.
Again, I am in a unique and privileged position to try this experiment.
