Lately as a hobby. I go on facebook pages for local classifieds etc and find rental postings. Then i go on zillow and look for the last time it was sold and check interest rates and use a mortgage calculator to figure out what the owners mortgage payment is. I check the math and show my work and let everyone know the house thats listed to rent for 2500 has a mortgage of 800 and you are just putting 1700 in the owners pocket every month for no reason. I suggest everyone else do the same. They came on a public forum, and in only presenting public information . 🤷‍️
