My manger and the team have been making it very clear they don't want me here. I haven't done anything to warrant this but they go out of the way to exclude me. My manager is also having conversations with others regarding “my situation” except for me.
2 weeks ago she decided she was going to cancel my vacation approval (2 weeks prior to my vacation) and threaten me with getting fired if I didn’t come to work on those days. I have it in writing that she approved it.
Today, my last day before my vacation, HR (my manager) pulls me into her office and gives me the option to resign with severance and still be able to collect unemployment or to stay and “work it out” once I am back from my vacation. I really hate it here and I’m miserable but I also don’t want give them the satisfaction of resigning.
Any advice? I don’t know what I should do. I am being told that if I get fired it would be wrongful termination but not sure how true that is. I’m in California.
