What reason shall I give for putting in my notice (UK software developer, 3 month notice period)?

I have worked for 11 months with my current employer and due to a recent interaction with my “career manager” (I work in consulting) I want to find another job. The issue is that my notice period is 3 months and I don't want to be fire immediately. I had a meeting with my manager last week because I took 4 days of sick leave after taking 2 weeks of annual leave. I was questioned in a condescending way of why I took sick leave, I don't like management at my job (noone else does neither). I do not have a job lined up and I think it would be a dealbreaker as lots of recruiters have contacted me.
