Interviewed with a recruiter today an hour after applying. Everything was going well but she was a little insistant on my willingness to come onsite for equipment issue and badging (100% remote otherwise). I agreed cause it isn’t that odd of an ask, but I asked her who is paying for this trip across the country. Turns out, they thought I would! No reimbursement, no nothing. So, that was a nope from me.
To be clear, she knew what state I’m in, and I guess thought that I’d be happy to pay for a flight plus hotel and car (and food) just to come get a laptop and badge issues to me.
